As a kid, I was always active. I did gymnastics for eight years, and ran Track and Field and Cross-country in high school. When I lost my mom is when I really started getting into weight training. There was something about pushing myself and relieving all the stress and anger that I had inside me. My training helped me deal with the loss of my mother. Once I started training more, that eventually lead to me wanting to do races and I signed up for my first Tough Mudder in 2014 to see how far I could push myself. I have now completed two Tough Mudder’s, the Pittsburgh Half Marathon, and Mud on the Mountain in Somerset,PA. I plan on doing another half marathon in Pittsburgh this year as well as competing in my first Powerlifting competition in 2016. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg.
